PLANNING YOUR SESSION
Want to celebrate your babies first birthday in a fun and fabulous way? Get in touch and we can chat through all of the details of their cake smash - from colours and cake to outfits and themes. I will walk you through everything needed to create a fantastic cake smash session!
THE EXPERIENCE
Bring your little one to the studio, watch the fun and then leave the mess behind! Typically we will start with "clean" portraits of your little one, before bringing out the cake and letting them make a mess. We can finish it off with adorable splash portraits in a bubble bath.
AFTER THE SESSION
You will receive a gorgeous gallery of images to select from. Once you have made your selections I get to work perfecting each and every one so that you have incredible images to remind you for years to come of all of the fun your little one had for their birthday!

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best age for baby photos?
We can create gorgeous portraits of your baby at any stage, however there are certain ages that are recommended for specific milestones. At 4 month we can focus on the milestone of tummy time. By 8 months babies are often able to sit unassisted and are generally at their chubbiest, making for some pretty cute pictures! The first birthday is fabulous for a fun milestone or cake smash session. Not much is cuter than a cake covered baby ;)
What if my baby is miserable that day?
With experience photographing hundreds if not thousands of babies I am generally able to get beautiful images regardless of their mood. When planning the session we will work together to ensure that they are fed, well rested and ready to roll. That said, I always aim to please and if for some reason your little one just isn't having it (teething, illness, etc.) we will try again on another day once the issue has passed.
Do I need to supply my own props/outfits?
The studio has a beautiful prop room with a variety of outfits, hats, headbands and props that we can use to customize your little one's session. Parents are welcome to bring along favourite toys, outfits or other sentimental items as well to add a personal touch to the portraits.

Having had little ones of my own I completely understand the stress and exhaustion that comes along with being a new parent.
