Baby James – Durham Newborn Photography

Sleep is for the weak. 😉 James had very little interest in sleeping for the better part of his newborn session, but was more than willing to show off those beautiful big eyes for the camera! This boy has personality oozing from every pore of his body. I have a feeling he will be quite the character as he grows up!

Even the most fierce of fighters have to sleep eventually… He fought us until we busted out this super warm and cozy swaddle and then went off to dream land just long enough for us to sneak in a few beautiful sleepy poses.

Mom brought in this gorgeous blanket that was made for him by a long time neighbor and family friend. See the tiny strips of green fabric sewn on? That was HER beloved blanket when she was a baby. What a lovely keepsake!

See what I mean?! He is just such a little character! For someone who can’t talk yet, he sure had a lot of opinions. I could have played with this little fellow all day! <3

Thank you so much to Mom, Dad and Grandma for bringing him in for his first portraits! I hope to get to see you all again soon!
